Bryony from Curious Tent Hire has been designing her own site in WordPress. She is fairly new to web design, but she has learned quickly and is quite proficient with WordPress. I think that is one of the factors that makes WordPress such a useable format. You can dive right in and experiment.

There were a few areas that Bryony needed support with. I’ve added quite a few lines of custom CSS to help with the look and feel of the site. These included fixing the slider image so it is responsive and shrinks as the screen is smaller, customising the forms, changing some colours of various elements, and centring the logo. This is one of the main skills I have developed over the last couple of years, and if you are starting to customise sites, learning which CSS tag will alter each element is a great skill to have. WPBeginner has a good tutorial on the “Inspect Element” tool.

As well as this, I helped with creating a new database for a site migration, and then successfully launching the new site.
